We built ewallet to make digital dollars feel as simple as a phone number. To do that we collect only the information we actually need.
1. What we collect
- Account info: your email and (if you sign in with Google) your name and profile photo, via Firebase Authentication.
- Wallet info: your smart-account address on Base. We do not see, store, or have access to your private keys.
- Transaction info: the transactions made by your wallet are public on the Base blockchain. We mirror them into our database to power your transaction history.
- Device/log info: standard things like IP address, browser, and timestamps for security and debugging.
2. What we do not collect
- Your wallet's private keys (managed in secure infrastructure by Thirdweb).
- Your bank account or card numbers.
- Your government ID, unless we tell you in advance and ask for consent.
3. How we use your data
- Create and run your wallet (sign-in, address, balance, history).
- Validate transactions and prevent fraud and abuse (rate limits, suspicious-activity checks).
- Reach out about product updates and support.
- Improve the product (anonymous usage patterns).
- Comply with law (e.g. respond to a lawful request).
4. Who we share data with
We use a small set of trusted infrastructure providers:
- Google Firebase — sign-in, database (Firestore), and serverless functions.
- Thirdweb — wallet keys (in secure enclaves), smart-account infrastructure, and gas sponsorship.
- Circle — issuer of USDC, the digital dollar token.
- Base — the public blockchain network on which your wallet lives.
We do not sell your data. We do not share it with advertisers. The Base blockchain itself is public — anyone can see addresses and transaction amounts.
5. How long we keep it
Account and transaction records are kept while your account is active and for a reasonable period afterwards (for accounting, fraud, and legal reasons).
6. Your rights
You can ask us to:
- See the data we hold about you
- Correct it if it's wrong
- Delete it (where the law allows)
- Stop using it for marketing
Email privacy@ewallet-guyana.com and we'll respond within 30 days. Note: we cannot delete a transaction from the Base blockchain — that's outside anyone's control.
7. Security
We use HTTPS everywhere, server-side validation for sensitive actions, and access controls on our database. Your wallet's signing keys are protected by Thirdweb's secure-enclave infrastructure. No system is perfectly secure — keep your sign-in account safe.
8. Children
ewallet is not for people under 18. If we learn we have collected data from a minor, we will delete it.
9. International transfers
Our infrastructure providers operate globally, so your data may be processed in countries outside Guyana. We rely on the providers' standard contractual protections to keep it safe.
10. Changes
If we materially change this policy, we'll notify you in the app or by email before the change takes effect.
